Goals and Thesis

“Historical Erasure Is Violence”: The Lives and Experiences of Black Transgender Women and Gender Nonconforming Women of Color in the 19th and 20th Century

Mulholland, Rebekkah YisraelThe University of Memphis. ProQuest Dissertations Publishing, 2020. 27832177.

For my assignment, I will be making an archive collecting history of black queerness/trans ness in the United States. This will be highlighting history, defining erasure, and adhering to the theme of forgotten-ness (who forgets, is hiding intentional, am I the one who is forgetting) I will then do a paper on the procedures taken to find the artifacts, their relevance to the topic, and their significance in the world.
